So for our past thirteen Autumn Alive shows we have used a middle-man agent that is located on the East coast. He has always worked fine with our University, however, we felt we could use an agent who is closer and who knows more about our University.

Now all of you know that change is a scary thing for most people. Changing our booking agent at Ferris State was not really an option because “why fix what’s not broken”, right? Well let’s look at our situation as this: We had a flip-phone that still worked, but we wanted a iPhone. 

Well, we started fighting for that iPhone. And through a few months battle, we finally purchased our shiny new iPhone with a name of Alex Johnson. Alex is a recent alumni from the Music Industry Management program at Ferris and landed a job at Little Duck Booking Agency in Michigan. He was a perfect fit for our middle-man. 

Fortunately for me, I had the chance to be on MIMA E-Board with Alex for the Spring 2011 semester so we had worked together before. We started working together for this show in late May, early June and needless to say, we worked very well together and landed a very popular band for our concert.

I’m extremely happy we managed to exert change in order for Alex to jump on this opportunity, and I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out.
